Overview

Enjoy a half day tour exploring the Titicaca lake and Uros floating islands. With this tour package you will be able to visit the Uros islands and immerse yourself into the local culture. You will feel the mystic of this legendary Inca Lake by meeting the local community living on the Uros floating islands.

With this shared tour you will be picked up at your hotel in the morning or afternoon (visitors can choose the starting time) in Central Puno. Then you will navigate across the Titicaca Lake toward the Uros Islands.

The Uros floating islands are a group of islands built from reeds by the traditional Uros residents.

There you will enjoy the landscapes of this natural reserve and have amazing views of the wildlife.

Upon arrival at one of the floating island you will be welcomed by the local residences who will share their lifestyle with you and they will tell you more about their history. Then if you want to improve the experience you will be able to take a small ride on their traditional reed boat (optional – can be paid directly to the local community) to enjoy a full Titicaca immersive experience.

You will have some free time to take pictures and walk around the floating island to explore and see how they are made.

Your original passport

The departure time will be at 9:00am, 12:15pm or 4:00pm. The pick up at your hotel will be around within 30 minutes before the departure time. You will receive a confirmation email to confirm the tour and times.

After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel in Central Puno, at Puno Main Square or at boarding port. You can ask to your guide at the end of the tour where you want to be dropped off.

This tour takes place in sunny or rainy / cold or warm weather. We suggest to visitors to check weather conditions on the month or day they book their activity

The ride on the traditional reed boat is not included and it is optional. This can be paid on the spot directly to the local community. The cost is 10-15 Soles per visitor.
